And the sweep begins.

Well it's that time of year isn't it? The time of year where you have limited money with so many great games coming out.

At the posting of this article we already have Batman: Arkham Asylum, Guitar hero 5, and Rock band: Beatles. Not to mention Guitar Hero: Van Halen coming out in December. Also we have Band hero and DJ hero coming out as well.

But there are alot more than Hero and Rock band games coming, oh yes.

Assassins Creed 2 comes out, and it looks very promising. As well as the showstopper Modren Warfare 2. There's also supposed to be a game by the name of Brutal Legend coming out as well, although I doubt it will, I've never seen a game with so many lawsuits in my life, aside from GTA of course.

Also there is Left 4 Dead 2, I think Left 2 die would have been a cool name but oh well. We also have Halo 3: ODST, so prepare to drop. Plus many more, and don't forget about early 2010, lots of games appearing there as well.

Well, there your brief update, sorry for lack of activity, I'll try to update more often, peace out.

Late E3 news

As the title says, this is going to completely cover E3 2009.

Microsoft Conference

During the Microsoft Conference, The Beatles: Rock band was announced, so was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Final Fantasy XIII, Left for Dead 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction! Now that is quite an impressive game list. But it did not end there. Forza Motorsport 3 and Halo Reach was announced. Halo: ODST was talked about for a bit. The Alan Wake game was introduced and demoed the same day. It looks interesting, I may rent it, but I do not see it as a buyable game.

Microsoft announced that they had made a partnership with Fast FM. I personally do not know what Fast FM adds to Xbox Live. *sigh* Microsoft has also signed a partnership with FaceBook and Twitter. If you do not know what FaceBook and Twitter are, please leave your cave and a teenager. They will definately know!

But Microsoft tried to even out the good and bad. They got the Metal Gear Solid franchise to come to the 360! Metal Gear Solid Rising.

Project Natal was mentioned. A complete motion sensing program that will be implemented onto the Xbox 360. Now I know what your thinking, "Wow dude.. They're stealing from the Nintendo Wii." Well DUDE no they are not. While the Wii does use a motion sensing program, Project Natal requires that you use full body movements. For more information on Project Natal visit the website here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/

Microsoft also touches on the creation of AI. The example they give is a woman having a conversation with a virtual boy.

Nintendo Conference

Now I've always been a Nintendo Fanboy, but since the Wii came out my excitment for Nintendo started to diminish. It still is unfortunatly, but there are a couple games that were announced that I wouldn't mind trying out. Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Other M, New Super Mario Bros., *laughs* Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Mario vs. DK: Minis March Again. I'm sorry but Nintendo needs to find some need mascotts. Enough said.

Wii revealed the new Vitality Sensor, Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort. For DS, we have Golden Sun (Somewhat "Yay!"), WarioWare DIY, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Also, which is a somewhat surprise. Sin and Punishment 2. This might get interesting to see how well Nintendo will do this year.

Now I know there has to be more that Nintendo presented. I just can not find it. I'm sorry, I just do not have enough time.

Sony Conference

All I can say is, "Wow! Sony loves to boast!" I know that Sony has a decent system, but come on! Anyways, on to new and upcoming games. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was announced. A new PSP model was announced later on in the conference. It was addressed as the PSP Go, which is 50% lighter, 40% smaller than the original PSP. I just have one thing to say, why? I know it was developed for people on the go and to fit more into peoples lifestyles. The original was as big as an iPhone. They can easily fit into a pocket. Man I have to stop ranting... The PSP will also be given bluetooth capability and a 16 GB flash memory. Not bad. This also comes with new software allowing easier syncing between your pc and PSP. It will launch in the U.S on October 1st for $249.99

Gran Turismo has been announced for the PSP. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP, is revealde that it is set 10 years after Metal Gear Solid 3, in the 1970's, and is "not a side story", rather a full new game. It's set in Costa Rica, and features the traditional MGS sneak-run gameplay. The teaser trailer ends with a traditionally silly gag involving a cardboard box. Motorstorm: Arctic Edge, LittleBigPlanet have been announced for the PSP also.

For the PS3, there is a bit going on. Agent, a newly made game by RockStar will be making it to the PS3. Assassin's Creed 2 and Final Fantasy XIV have been mentioned. Final Fantasy XIV will make it to the PS3 in 2010.

Just to be fair, Sony is developing a motion-sensing electronics as well. Enough said. I'll provide a link later on.

ModNation Racers has been announced, it is a kart racing created by United Front Games. Fumito Ueda's much-awaited title The Last Guardian is confirmed with a trailer that shows the large bird/mammal hybrid bonding with a young boy in a Ico/Colossus style rugged landscape, developed again by Sony's Japan Studio. The Sony conference ends out with a long real-time gameplay excerpt from the much-awaited PS3 exclusive God Of War III, including plenty of giant boss fights, impressive visuals, and bombastic effects.
